According to the organizer, Fox Asia Exposition Sdn Bhd, subsidiary of Hongkong-Asia Exhibition (Holdings) Ltd, the move was in line with their effort to create a more distinctive image for the MIJ which has been conferred by the Malaysia Book of Records as the largest jewelry exhibition of international standards in Malaysia. By implementing a brand new image for the MIJ, the organizer hopes to set a new benchmark for this event which has celebrated much success over the past decade. It is also a testimony of their commitment in promoting Malaysia as an ideal and preferred shopping destination in the Asia Pacific region and perhaps the world as they are working closely with relevant government bodies and organizations to make the Malaysia Jewelry Festival one of the major and most spectacular events in the Malaysian calendar.

From this year onwards, the Malaysia Jewelry Festival which incorporates the MIJ will not be a mere jewelry affair. The inaugural Malaysia Jewelry Festival2005incorporating 11th Malaysia International Jewelex will be officiated and graced by Pn. Sri Chelsia Cheng and attended by local celebrities, socialites as well as important officials from the relevant government agencies and private sector.

3. Talk And Special Workshop

Ms. Gillian Hung, holder of multiple titles such as the CEO and Creative Director of FACT, President of MODA and organizer for this year’s Miss Malaysia/World Pageant. Her seminar is entitled “Reinvent Your Style with Jewelry” which is scheduled at 2.30pm on the 6th Oct, 2005.

The second workshop will take place at 12pm on the 8th, Oct, 2005 where Wendy Lee, a renowned image consultant in the country will be talking on “Style and Image”
